An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has resulted in the arrest of numerous employees of a group home for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Greeneville. In August, after receiving a referral from Adult Protective Services, TBI special agents assigned to the Medicaid Fraud Control Division began investigating allegations of abuse and neglect involving a vulnerable adult who resided in a group home operated by Support Solutions in Greeneville. During the course of the investigation, agents learned that several individuals who were employed as direct support professionals, along with the residential manager, were involved in ongoing abuse and neglect of a male victim, who is intellectually disabled and non-verbal.
