South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that his office’s Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit (VAMPF) has arrested Simone S. Reeves, 45 years old, of Rock Hill, SC, on one count of Obtaining Property or Signature Under False Pretenses, value $10,000 or more and one count of Medical Assistance Provider Fraud. Reeves was booked into the Richland County Detention Center on September 23, 2025. A VAMPF investigation revealed that, between February 19, 2018, and May 14, 2019, Reeves allegedly submitted fraudulent payment claims exceeding $10,000 to the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, which administers the state’s Medicaid program. As a Licensed Professional Counselor employed by H.I.S. Counseling LLC, a South Carolina Medicaid provider, Reeves is accused of preparing and submitting falsified timesheets, claiming she provided behavioral health services to minor Medicaid beneficiaries when no such services were rendered.
