Michigan Nurse Charged with Unlicensed Practice, Falsifying Records

Today, Antonio Serraon, 55, of Warren, was arraigned in the 43rd District Court in Madison Heights before Magistrate Michael G. Mitchell on one count of Placing Misleading or Inaccurate Information in Medical Records or Charts and one count of Unauthorized Practice of a Health Profession, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Both offenses are felonies. On December 13, 2023, at Mission Point of Madison Heights, a nursing home where Serraon was employed, a disabled resident allegedly fell and struck his head on the floor. Serraon is accused of falsely documenting follow-up care that was never provided. It is further alleged that prior to the fall, Serraon administered a controlled sedative to the resident without proper authorization. The resident later died due to injuries sustained in the fall.
