NJ Group Home Operator and Employees Charged with Neglect of Elderly Resident

Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), and the Office of Insurance Fraud Prosecutor (OIFP) announced that the Pennsylvania-based owner of a South Jersey group home for intellectually disabled people, and one employee, were arraigned on charges they allegedly neglected and abused an elderly resident. Elwyn Pennsylvania Delaware Inc. (Elwyn) of Elwyn, Pennsylvania, and one other defendant, Gwendolyn Singletary, were arraigned on October 20, 2025, on charges of neglect of an elderly or disabled person, and conspiracy to commit same (both third degree). Singletary is also charged with assault on an institutionalized person (fourth degree).
